at slower pace
we get where we´ve never really wanted to be
we catch up
with things that we thought we had past and left behind

I think I could go on
as long as we’d still feel
like we felt back then

and with the work there is no room we say
and I´ve been moving twice as slow since then
I would try to turn to old routines
but I feel i need to handle things in different ways each day

always racing
at slower pace
getting where we´ve never really wanted to be
catching up
with things that we thought we had past and left behind

and that was fuel for all our dreams
when all these hopes were promises

I don´t think I like these times
and it all comes back when

I´m watching TV with the sound turned off
I´m choking on yesterday´s meal
I wish I could fall asleep
but the coffee and the things we said are keeping me awake
